Bluefin was incredible! My new husband and I stayed there almost a year ago now for our honeymoon. We had such a busy week before the wedding that this was just what we needed.

The staff were freindly and helpful. Our room was very large and it looked out on to Lake Superior.
It was really breathtaking. Each night we would light a fire in our fireplace and leave the windows open so that we could hear the waves hit land just below our porch. The moon was full that week and we would watch it come up out our windows.

We tried many different places to eat in the area along with the hotel dining areas, all were good. Waterfalls were plentiful and were usually easy to hike to, this was one of our favorite activities.
We also tried kayaking for the first time and our instructor was wonderful. I had a massage one day and another day we went on a sailboat ride and met two very nice couples.

I cannot wait to go back and relive our wonderful time there.

My son and I stayed here after a week in the Boundary Waters, although ours was the ONLY vehicle in the parking area with a canoe on top, we felt very welcomed here. The accomodations were beautiful and I will return with my wife at a later date for an extended stay.

My wife and I just returned from a 3-night stay at the Blufin. The area is wonderful! Cool nights and pleasant days. The view from our room was superb. We looked out on beautiful Lake Superior. The room had a fireplace and a 2-person jacuzzi that was great. The furniture was beginning to show some wear but overall, it was fine. The property has both an indoor and outdoor pool that were small but quite nice. The outdoor pool is heated & surrounded by glass. We thought the water temperature in the outdoor pool could've been a tad warmer, but one can still enjoy it. The main restaurant was not as good as we thought it would be--the food was average at best. However, we did enjoy a very good pizza in the bakery/deli restaurant. If you enjoy State parks, Minnesota has 72--the jewel of which is Tettegouche--hike the Shovel Point trail--at the end is a beautiful view with sea caves--when we were there, fog was starting to roll in--it was really lovely!
