My family & I were at the Freight House in Stillwater Minnesota on 8/18/2005. We waited 45 minutes for a waitress to take our order. Finally she came, no specials... fine, no happy hour specials...fine. So, we order two tap beers to which she replies with "Oh our taps are down." (with a smirk) Fine, so we order two bottles of beer. We order our food along with a glass of milk for our child. She says "Oh we don't have milk, you can't get that here you need to go in the restraunt for that" (which is in the very next room!) While waiting for our food to come I spot two other patrons in the establishment with tap beers. I ask the waitress upon her return "Are your taps working now?" she says "No". I said "I see two patrons with tap beers". She says "Oh hey must have gotten them from the other bar". (Which is about 50 feet away) I ask "How many bars do you have here?" She says "Four". I said "Well can't you go & get me a tap beer from one of the other bars?" She says "No, we can't do that" I said "Why, are they all under different management?" She says "Yes". By this time I gave up. Ok fine, our child will have water & we'll have bottled beer. She comes with our food. The fries are awful, greasy & soggy. Then my child has to go "potty" so I take her down to the restroom which is in a musty, stinky basement. There are cobwebs & spiders crawling all over the place & the toilet bowl is disgusting, like it had not been cleaned in months. Steer clear of this place! The waitress was nice but the service was very poor & for what they charge for meals & drinks they could at least accomidate their patrons, with getting milk & a tap from the next room! The place was absolutely filthy. Wonder what the Dept of Health would say?
