“Good shape for this time of year”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Nice place - a mix of links and woods. Greens were in excellent shape, fairways pretty good. Prices are very reasonable too. One concern - they could have placed more water out on the course. We were dying of thirst on the back 9 and the few coolers they had were empty.

“Great back nine, nice front nine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Love this course, but it is quite challenging at times. My favorite is the front nine. The price/value is very good, the course is in very good shape and clubs can be rented if necessary.

“Regular Golf Course Kept in Regular Condition”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Loggers Trail is a fairly new course in the Stillwater/East Twin Cities Metro Area that is a good test for the average golfer with a fair amount of traps, some water, and a lot of trees to keep your straight off of the tees. The layout is fairly mundane, the greens are a bit uneven, some bushy and slow, while others are trimmed a tad better and putts roll a bit more evenly. By the time you finish none of the holes will be remembered as something truly special. However, its strengths are tee time availability, a fairly good pace of play, and a good layout for the 15-30 handicapper. Clubhouse amenities are minimal.

“Scenic, well groomed course, challenging course”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

One of my favorite course on the east side of the city. Easy to get to and always in nice shape. One time, some of the next door farmer's exotic cows were on number 10. Felt like we were in Europe golfing in the mountains!!! Be nicer when they get a real clubhouse built, but still a great time

“Sawmill Golf course - fun, challenging, scenic course”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Sawmill golf course is right next door to Loggers Trail golf course. It's a fairly inexpensive, challenging course with a variety of slopes, grades, sand traps, and water hazards throughout the fairways and greens. Great way to spend the day!
