“The most disgusting place I have ever stayed.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

My carpet in my room had several vomit stains on the carpet, wondering when the last time they shampooed the carpets as I had walked to checkout the following morning I found a housekeeper on her hands and knees scrubbing up vomit off of the carpet (disgusting that profit is better than protecting your employees, buy a carpet shampooer). I will never stay here again, I will spend more money to stay at a nicer hotel.

First of all the gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. However, after checking in and walking to our room, it was downhill from there. This hotel IS VERY OUTDATED...but not the price!! The hallway and room carpets were disgusting, and upon entering our room the door looked like it had been broke as the key slide was half gone, and then upon entering the room it smelled so bad! The only thing updated were the TV's, which pleased my husband, but then the TV didn't even work in our bedroom. They did however give us a discount for this. The shower head was so bad, you hardly could take a shower. How hard is it to replace a shower head? The only good thing I can say, is the bed was comfortable. This was like a 70's hotel but hardly a 70's price. This is one hotel I WILL NOT be returning back to!

Please accept my sincere apology for the TV and shower head issues you had during your stay. We have since then upgraded to DirecTV to eliminate the issues we were having and changed all our shower heads. I want to thank you for taking the time to write a review. There's no excuse for anything less than complete guest satisfaction. We look forward to serving you again in the near future.

Everything was ok. Clean and comfortable enough. Staff seemed disorganized but were friendly. No early check in which wasn't great since it was blazing hot out and we had laptops in the car, but overall, not bad for the rate I paid on a travel site.

Three generations - three rooms for the weekend to see and shop in Stillwater. We found the staff very warm and calm as they straightened out the problem that the on-line reservation site had made.
The main entry is beautiful and every area from pool to breakfast room to our individual rooms were clean, fresh and newish. The location is out of the hubub, but very close to downtown.
The breakfast offered more varieties of really good food (scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, yoghurt, bagels, boiled eggs, juices, fresh fruit, etc. The breakfast girl was so helpful, making a fresh pot of stronger coffee for our daughter, etc. She was conversational and fun and we felt "at home." We would certainly recommend this motel!

We visited this hotel for a family wedding. Overall, it was pretty nice. We had one of the rooms with an "extra" area (separate bedroom and "living area")- which made it easier for our baby to take naps and not be disturbed. A couple of our family members thought the rooms still smelled "smokey", despite it having just been converted from smoking to non-smoking. We never tried the breakfast.
Of note, there is no elevator. So if you are on the second floor, you have to drag your bags up yourself!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room that never was a smoking room!

Front desk area looked nice but beyond that was just filth! Pool was decent size but garbage everywhere and no clean towels just dirty ones laying around. Hallways had visible dirt along edge. Room was awful, carpets were so dirty that my crawling child had dirty knees within minutes, bathroom had film in tub, after putting children to sleep we went to lay down and the fitted sheet was a full size not a queen size so sheet kept coming off the bed and we couldn't turn lights on to change it as kids were sleeping, also the 2 pillows on bed were almost paper thin and when asked for another they had no extras available...worst night sleep ever! Then at breakfast, only one highchair, which was broken, then the eggs were like rubber but at least they had grainy coffee! Worst experience ever!!

We booked through Hotels.com and they put a hold for a charge greater than we paid. I called and they said it would be removed and low and behold they charged the card this time.

The lobby was in decent shape, the rooms were ok, and the price was great. Breakfast was also provided and it was standard fare. For the price, nothing to complain about except for the charge.

Extremely poor service in my opinion and would not recommend this hotel.

Dear Valued Guest:

Thank you for staying with us. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay, but regret that the incorrect credit card was charged. I have researched this issue with the internet company you made your reservation through and also with my front desk staff to ensure the billing was corrected. As you and I have discussed, I have made the proper credit to your credit card. Feel free to contact me at the hotel with any questions. Thank you again for staying at the Crossings.
