“Great place, fun for everybody, interesting art, amazing experience for free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

There is something wrong with you if you don't find something that interests you here. All ages will be intrigued and will enjoy the experience. You can explore the sculptures at your own pace and they are interactive so the children can climb on them and explore. There are real artists that live there and create these sculptures so you can really feel the vibe of the creative environment. Every time I visit there seems to be at least a few new or different sculptures so it always feels new when you return. No admission charge, it is a tax exempt organization so you can donate and deduct it. In the summertime, they have concerts and bonfires on Saturday nights. They also have a children's weekend during the summer. This is one of the best kept secrets in Minnesota. Highly recommended that you spend an afternoon there and check it out. My family makes it a point to at least visit every summer. Nice state parks nearby, also.

“Odd and large art”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Must have been a farm purchased by some old hippies. Large art (house-sized) broadly spaced out so it takes some time getting through. Did not understand any of the art there, but was interesting. Like a blob of concrete in the shape of a deflated car. Nice playground for kids. Nice way to spend an afternoon for free.

“MUST SEE TO BELIEVE :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

The sculptures change constantly; I miss my favorites but love the new surprises each time! No matter the season it's a blast! Such talent, it's unreal~and you must stay to watch the artists in action.

“Eclectic, Kid Friendly, Better than a germy waterpark!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Driving home to Rice Lake from MLPS, the kids and I needed a break. We always drive past Franconia and never stop. I'm so glad we did. They loved the crazy climbing art, I loved that we weren't at yet another cheap Disney-Wanna Be place, and that they were being exposed to the ideas and inspirations of people that make art. I will DEFINITELY try to go back when they have thier music nights in the summer!

“With or without the kids!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Fun place to walk around.. some of the art is interactive, all very interesting to look at. Neat place to take the kids for an afternoon, or just go and have some quiet time for yourself. Very inspiring atmosphere.
