“Busy, Busy on Event Nights, but worth the wait!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

This is a popluar joint on nights there is an event at the XCEL Center...as are most restaurants within walking distance of that venue. We thought arriving 90 minutes before the concert started, would be plenty of time, but even then we had a 30 minute wait to get a table. We only had bugers (artichoke burger was GREAT), but they were very good, even though it took almost 30 minutes to land at our table. THAT is how busy they were! We had good service, despite the circumstances. The parking lot on the same block charged only $10 vs $15 everywhere else and it was all conveniently located within an easy block or two walk to the Center. GET THERE 2 hours before an event if you can!

“Great Patio!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

McGovern's has quite possibly the best patio in the Twin Cities. It has a retractable roof and heaters to make the most of the patio season. The fireplace and waterfall add to the ambiance. The food is also generally very good. I recommend the Turkey Melt, which is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had.

“Dinner before turning in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Got off a flight and wanted some FOOD. The person driving me recommended McGover's Pub and I am glad he did. TV with basketball, good food and drink and a very casual dining atmosphere. I was staying at the Doubletree so being close by was nice as after we left, it was a short drive there. I would recommend this place - Great Baja Burger.

“Nice Sports Bar/Pub/Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Pre Wild game drinks and eats. The place was hopping just after 5 with barely room to stand at the front bar. We put our name on the list and were seated 20 minutes later. Our table was in the center patio/atrium area. I can only imagine how great it would be sit in this area on a nice summer night, it appeared that the roof actually opened up and there was a large fire place in the courtyard to the rear of the seating area. Service was good, food arrived quickly and was quite good. McGovern's is on the return to list next time I am in St Paul.
