Had read a lot about this place so decided to try it. It is in a low-moderate income area of St. Paul and I wanted to like it a lot. Before you go, please check out the menu. We tried the split pea soup (which is good but not great) and the "Fatty Burger". This burger has buns made out of grilled cheese sandwiches. It was way too much too eat, and not that tasty.
They have an extensive bar and drinks, as others have noted. A number of people seem to go there to drink.
There were families as well as 20-30 somethings, and a few older folks.
They would not take reservations which I think is unfortunate as they have been busy lately with good pr.
The building has been nicely fixed up and it's good to see people trying hard to offer a nice place like this on the east side. But we thought it was only slightly better than ok.
