Went in to try one more time since our last awful experience trying to eat dinner here. Particularly since several other reviewers have been compelled to write multiple 5-star reviews in just the last six months alone! It was actually worse than the first visit, which I didn't think possible. Crowded with people trying to get on the Volcan Fire Truck shuttle ride that was far past capacity. Combined with making certain the riders were consuming alcohol before departure did not help. It should have been fun to watch, but I just shook my head in disbelief of how desperate people can be to avoid driving and parking downtown. The interior is such a huge, dark, musty smelling disappointment when entering on a beautiful sunny day, that we sat outside to witness the shuttle disaster. It was noisy from traffic and there is nothing really attractive about the location outside. You just sit on the sidewalk of a very busy street and wait for service. And wait, and then get up and ask for service. If there is any staff not hiding in the kitchen. Steak sandwiches were good, but the horrible excuse for au gratin potatoes nearly ruined the whole meal. Drinks ranked right up there with any little neighborhood dive, but prices seemed higher for the event shuttle night too.
