“Really? Right here in St. Paul, Minnesota?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2012

This is the building I take every one to see when they come to visit. Can you believe that THIS is in St. Paul? Minnesota? Really? If you have all the time in the world, you could spend hours. But, if you're time budget is short, it only takes 15 minutes to do a quick walk through, and you leave feeling like you've been to Europe...

“Confirmation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2012

My confirmation was done here and just as a child to go to such a wonderful place. It's big and the details are amazing. It's wonderful to see such a great creation so well taken care of it's amazing.

“A World Class Architectural Landmark”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2012

This is an amazing structure inside and out. It stands on a hill overlooking downtown St. Paul, the Mississippi River and the nearby State Capitol. Very nice details on the exterior. Don't miss the stained glass windows or the large statues of the four Evangelists on the interior.

“Such a magnificent edifice...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2012

wish it played a bigger part in the real life of the community. This place should be "Ground Zero" for social justice in the twin cities, a physical and spiritual focus for furthering the agenda taught by Jesus. Instead it is often empty, and the archdiocese uses it as seat from which to further a poltcal agenda of intolerance toward gay marriage and abortion. This is some kind of metaphor - a huge, expensive church high on a hill above the people who rarely use it. I've been moved by the faith I observed in giant cathedrals and small chapels and woodland glens around the world - this one is just cold.

“One of a kind!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2012

I just went to see the Red Bull Crashed Ice event that took place right outside the Cathedral. It was a very cold night and people would go into the Cathedral to warm up. I was amazed at the comments coming out of the Red Bull crowd after they experienced the Cathedral. Many were amazed at its beauty both inside and out and how huge it is. The building sits high on the hill in St. Paul and overlooks it all. Take in Sunday High Mass. Its beautiful!
