“Spectacular homes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Summit Drive (200 block to 400) is filled with some interesting and spectacular homes. Walk it. Or drive it real slow several times to take it all in. Amazing views from Lookout park to the valley below. The Cathedral toward the downtown end is worth a visit.

“Wonderful street for a walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Great restaurants and shops. Fun to people watch. Don't forget to hop one block over and walk down Summit Ave (see turn of the century mansions as well as the governor's residence). Make sure to grab an ice cream cone at the Grand Old Creamery.

“Very cool part of town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

We got some local knowledge to check this area out and they were right. Very cool old house with great views. We walked from out hotel downtown - not too far, ~20-25 minutes. It was a beautiful Spring day and we had time to kill so what better than a walk. Lots of people were out jogging, riding bikes and walking like us. Very pedestrian friendly.

“ALWAYS a treat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Always a treat to drive/walk through the neighborhood and let your mind wander back to the days of F. Scott and the Hills. Such incredible architecture.

“A Historical Street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Summit Avenue boasts storied mansions from St. Paul's stately past. Many of the homes were built by storied architects, such as Cass Gilbert, the designer of the Minnesota State Capitol, Summit Avenue is a lovely Sunday afternoon drive or stroll, and a must-see for tourists.
