“Science Museum in St. Paul, Minneapolis”
It was our second time to the Science Museum in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, and we were not disappointed. It doesn't matter where you live in the U.S., the trek to Minnesota is so well worth it. We had gone to the museum when it was just my husband and I years and years ago and really had an enjoyable, enlightening time. We took our kids this last time and they didn't want to leave after 4 hours. There are so many interactive things to do. Our kids got hands-on experience with every conceivable scientific theory you can imagine. It's just not like any other science museum. Everything from making a tornado (from floor to ceiling) to seeing real hearts or brains or watching a scientist work with nitroglycerin. You can easily spend a whole day there. A plus is that the food served in the cafeterias is really good and you enjoy nice views while eating. They have IMAX movies, too. One of the things we really enjoy about St. Paul is that the roads/streets are so nice and wide. The St. Croix River and the Mississippi River are right there, too, so beauty surrounds the area. As per usual, we didn't get to do everything we wanted to. Too many things to do in Minnesota, I guess. You could spend a week there and still not cover everything. The zoo was very nice, too, but I like the Madison, Wisconsin zoo (where we're from) even better. We burned some calories at the zoo, though. Any questions on what to do in Minnesota, just post a question and I'll get it.
