4:30 pm Maybe we came at a bad time of day. We were seated in a large room full of empty tables. (I don't think you should overestimate the social effect of other people enjoying their meals at the same time.) Somehow, our group of eight didn't have the energy to overcome the largeness of the space. Paintings and decorations seemed to shrink from monumental to merely pretentious. The waitress's accent went from charming to annoying as she didn't quite get our food and orders. The food was good, but not exceptional. Normally, I would have been impressed by the check, since each person's meal, drink, tax, and tip had a subtotal, so the split was easy. But one of the meals was returned, and a late dessert added, so it was still complicated. Recommend going when they are busy.
