The food had always been good in the past, and super affordable....like a combo plate with huge food for under $6. We decided to revisit this old favorite, with disappointing results. First of all, we wanted to sit in the room to the left that is quieter, less worn, and sunny, more roomy. The hostess lamely replied that this area was 'closed'. There were like 4 tables in the place and anyone with a service emphasis would've seated our table of 3 in the area we wanted to sit. When at the table, the condiments were all sticky, as was the table. There are cords hanging visibly from everything running down the dated white walls, and lame paper notices and pictures nailed or stapled to the walls. Not very inviting. To top it off, there were many black flies buzzing around the guest tables. I had ordered my meal and requested it to be topped with bean sprouts, which earlier had come at no charge. This time, a significant charge was posted to our bill for this addition! The service was lackluster, food was so-so, prices were way higher and the restaurant was dirty and filled with flies. This saddens us, because we've loved this place for years. I don't think we'll be back. :(
