5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2014

Extremely friendly front desk staff, very helpful and accommodating, definitely catering to the guest's needs. The rooms were spotless, inviting the "weary" traveler to get a good night's sleep before charging into the next day. A definite thumbs-up!

We stayed here the last night before heading home from a western trip. Rochester is a good town to stay in, there are nice restaurants and the hotels are reasonably priced. This is a typical Hampton, decent value, decent room, nothing to write home about.

We stopped in for one night and didn't realize we didn't meet the age criteria. Everyone was over the age of 60 that we saw and our family of two kids and parents in their 40's stuck out like a sore thumb. The crowd at breakfast just stated when we entered the room...it was weird. On a more positive note the staff were very helpful and the room was adequate but a bit small for our family. The breakfast included the regular cold choices, along with waffles, omlettes, bacon and pancakes. One really nice touch was the pancakes were rolled with an apple stuffed inside - a nice surprise. We didn't like the one elevator as it was slow and would have the occasional weird bounce when it stopped or when you got on (and I know I'm not that big). Despite the downs we would stay there again.

Thank you for letting others know about your recent stay at our property. I'm glad to see that you enjoyed your breakfast during your stay. Being that our hotel is in Rochester, MN home of the Mayo Clinic we are filled frequently with patients that are here for medical reasons. We have guests that are Mayo Clinic patients that have been staying with us since our property opened back in 1994; so I guess you could say we have seasoned guests. Thank you for letting us know about your experience with the elevator; we will make a note for our elevator maintenance person to keep an eye on.

We hope to see you again the next time you visit Rochester. Thanks again!

Stayed at this Hampton Inn for one night during a trip out to Yellowstone. It was clean and comfortable. Front desk was friendly. Breakfast was good and well stocked. It was easy to find. Would stay here again.

The hotel didn't look very nice when pulling up, but it was great inside. Looked newly remodeled and everything was clean. We were there for a baseball tournament and you can reserve the front conference area, it was a great big open space with tons of seating and a large table for a group. The pool wasn't huge, but overall everything else was great. There are a few restaurants within walking distance as well.

We felt welcome and safe from the minute we arrived. The staff and other guests made us feel right at home. Breakfast is delicious and the shuttle service to Mayo Clinic and reliable with friendly drivers.

We had a bit of business and combined it with pleasure. Warm, helpful, friendly, comfortable stay. Would recommend this hotel for business, couples, family, friends or alone. Breakfast was relaxing and plenty of food. Took along an apple for the road.
