“July 2012 Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

This was our second stay at the Kahler Inn and Suites in Rochester, MN. The purpose of our trips is for medical treatment for our son at the Mayo Clinic. The hotel is in the center of Rochester and directly across the street from the Mayo Clinic. All of the rooms have been upgraded sincen our 2011 visit. Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly and make trip extremely comfortable. We stayed in mini-suite which has tw queen beds, kitchenette and living room area. We also had a very large outdoor balcony. Hotel includes free continental breakfast. We also ate at the restaurant several nights and staff was very accomodating, expecially with our 5 month old who was not always "happy".
Kahler Inn and Suiteshas been and will continue to be our first choice when travelling to Rochester.

Room Tip: The mini-suites are great expecially if have kids

This was our 15th stay at the Kahler Inn and Suites . It is in the heart of Rochester, yet easy to access and underground parking is provided. The rooms had updated decor and linens that were crisp and clean. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. The rooms were so clean and fresh. The location is so close to medical facilities, shopping, wide variety of restaurants, sightseeing, etc. Whatever your reason for visiting Rochster, Convention, medical or pleasure, it's within easy walking distance, most times a mere walk across the street. There is a Caribou next to main lobby with access from the hotel; a cozy seating area in the lobby. There is a restaurant on the main level, the free contienental breakfast just keeps getting better, or you can choose from a full menu meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The continental breakfast has a the widest variety of items I have ever experienced: cold and hot cereal, fruit, juice, bagels, rolls, warm boiled eggs, and the list goes on. The Kahler Inn is our first choice when we travel to Rochester.

Stayed at the Kahler Inn twice, while my husband had surgery and testing done at Mayo. One 2 night stay, with both of us, one 3 night stay alone. Room was nice each time, comfortable bed, fridge and microwave, complementary breakfast. Parking included in attached garage, friendly staff. Only problem was one night when there was a baseball tournament staying - lots of noise half the night. Front desk and security did the best they could...

Connected to Mayo via tunnels.

For the past few years when I travel to Rochester for my Mayo appts I have been staying at the Kahler Inn and Suites. It has been recently updated with nice decor. The bathrooms have a seperate sink outside of the toilet/shower room. Each standard room has a small fridge which is very nice for anyone who has to refridgerate medicines. Alarm clocks are provided and they have very comfortable beds. The hotel is kiddy-corner from the Mayo Clinic and it also has the convenience of underground tunnels to the clinic (for those of us who don't like the cold weather). They also offer a very nice continental breakfast included with the stay. For the serious coffee drinkers they also have a Caribou Coffee Shop located inside. The hotel staff is very friendly and efficient. This hotel is my "hotel of choice" when staying in Rochester!

We have stayed at the Kahler Inn and Suites for the past few years. It is very close to the Mayo Clinic and has the underground tunnel between the hotel and the clinic. That makes getting around so much easier.
The staff is wonderful and friendly. Any questions I had were answered right away. Extra pillows, blankets and towels came within a very short period of time. The rooms are clean and spacious. The cost is reasonable for a good hotel room. We usually stay in the mini-suite, which gives a bit more space. Having a refrigerator and microwave makes things much easier. There are places to eat right in the Kahler which is wonderful after a long day going to appointments. Coffee is close and the dining room is pleasant.
After having stayed at a couple other hotels, I am very pleased with the Kahler Inn and Suites.
I have never been disappointed in any stay at the Kahler and will continue to as long as we need to go to the Mayo.

Room Tip: If you need a bit larger area, ask for the Queen Mini-Suites. They are comfortable and offer space i...

I have stayed at the Kahler Inn several times in the past 4 years. My most recent stay was in July 2012. The rooms have ben refurbished since my last stay & I will say that it's was a nice inprovment to keep up with standards. Front desk people are always freindly & very helpful in anything that you ask from them. My vist to the Kahler Inn are based on the location to Mayo Clinic. It is right across the street from hospital & 1/2 block away from clinic with access to these facilities from there underground tunnel system that the downtown merchants have established. Rooms are clean & quit housekeeping does a very good job keeping things in order. If you are staying & planing to spend a lot of time in your room i recomend the suites they are set up with couch, chair, fridge, small table microwave to make it as much like home as possible. Have not tried room service or the pool or spa. Added plus close to lots of great resturants & shops no need to drive any place for these services.

The location can't be beat when you are visiting the clinic. If the weather is bad, you can access the subway right in the hotel and never have to go outside. The rooms are newly renovated and are beautiful. Everything you could need or want, including microwave and refrigerator, is in the room. The free breakfast is welcome. (Bakery items are delish!) The restaurant staff knows what you can and cannot eat the night before your blood tests at the clinic and so can steer you around the menu to get you a good meal that won't compromise your tests. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Check in and check out went quickly and smoothly. We found the beds and linens to be very comfortable and in fact bought three of their pillows to take home with us! Kahler Inn and Suites is our home away from home when we go to Rochester.
