“Super friendly staff make this place enjoyable!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We got a ridiculously reasonable rate for this hotel on Priceline. We stayed for two nights. There were two different female employees at the desk at various times of the day: Jayla and Jessica. Both are experts at customer service and making everyone feel like we were coming home each time they saw us. The room was sparkly clean, very nice kitchenette with full refrigerator, burners, small microwave, sink plus all the pots, pans, dishes and silverware you will need. Even the room attendant was friendly and accommodating when we needed extra supplies. The hotel itself is very conveniently located just off Hwy 52 and near a large Target and several restaurants/food joints - Applebee's, Chipotle, Panera. Tons more are just a little further and just a hop, skip and a jump to Mayo Clinic down the highway for a couple of minutes. If you don't need a pool or a hot tub, try this place. There is a recently-added grab and go breakfast available each morning: 6:30 - 9:30 which includes coffee, tea, muffins, breakfast bars, oatmeal, and a fruit selection. Nice, clean beds, bathroom (bring your own hairdryer!), iron and ironing board included plus toaster. One of the few places we have stayed that you can actually regulate the temperature with an under the window unit that actually works well and is quiet! Room at night was quiet even though place was filled with a girls basketball team and entourage. We will definitely stay here again, can't beat the price.

Room Tip: Room 219 was on a quiet side with limited parking, no lights, no noise. Make sure you request a non...

“Good hotel, better customer service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

I think this is one of the better places in the Rochester area. A "good bang for your buck" First off Free wifi, free light continental breakfast, nice kitchenette, free parking , Free shuttles to Mayo or St Mary's , great front desk staff . All awesome things, what brings down such a positive review is the fact that someone didn't do their job. The cleaning staff did not clean under the beds or behind the recliner. Ex: a compact disc and a clump of used tissues under the bed and either pills or mints and some fingernail clippers behind the recliner. I would recommend this hotel and i would give it one more try. When I go to my hotel room i want it to be a home away from home. Clean room happy customer. I hope this was just a fluke, hotel staff apologized for the problems.

Room Tip: I prefer first floor room rooms were quiet and eaisly accessible for mobility stroller

“A Motel with a surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

In coming to Rochester for the first time is hard enough. What made it harder for me was that my trip was to the Mayo Clinic for medical issues I received from a car accident with a drunk driver. In choosing a motel, we looked for one outside the downtown area because of traffic and the lack of parking there-of. We had several choices to choose from but this Extended Stay America "North" seem to catch our eye because it was close to two different strip malls, but more-so the rooms had a complete kitchen. Full size fridge, two burner (no oven) and a microwave with all the dishes, and pans you need for cooking. This is just one of the features ... the rooms were comfortable, bathrooms were nice size, and most of all it was really clean.

The staff however was one of a different nature ... they were all kind, friendly, and treated you like a person and not a number. It didn't matter if you talked to the cleaning staff, "Mr. Fix It" dude, or even the Manager. The front desk staff was full of information that gave us a lot of incite not only to the town but about the Mayo clinic as well. They didn't rush you through like cattle, and if they had a little extra time they would just talk to you about whatever. As for the pricing, it fitted our budget very nicely. The shuttle we had to take to the clinic wasn't bad and saved us from a whole lot of walking. Front door service the whole bit. They even went a bit out of their way to pick us up at a different spot when we were at St. Mary's Hospital.

In my line of work and travels, you just don't see service like this much less a motel who treats all of their guest with a smile, a twinkle in the eye, and what's more cool is that when you walk in ... doesn't matter what time of the day or night, they always greeted me and asked how my day was. Any concerns I had was promptly taken care of ... and I have to say I had one, and that was "who delivers?"

With all of this said, and no I'm not a paid actor ... I find myself coming back to the Mayo Hospital and already confirmed my stay. This place was a big help to my wife and I. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: This IS the spot to stay

“Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

We stayed just one night at this hotel and found it to be clean and comfortable. The room was comfortably furnished and I liked having a recliner and a table and chairs. Even with only a one night stay I found it convenient to have a little kitchen area. I just felt a lot better about being able to wash the coffee pot before we used it as so often in other hotels I wonder how they've cleaned the coffee pot that's in the room. The value was great. Of course the furnishing aren't luxurious and you are not paying for luxuries. I was able to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk very quickly without problem. The staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable.
