I really appreciate that ZZest is so straightforward (on their website, and when you walk in the door) in giving you an idea of what to expect from them. They have a cute niche to fill and they fill it well... fun, inspired, creative, classy, inventive, and hip. On a Thursday around 7, we were seated right away, and the dining room was busy, but not quite at capacity. If you had to wait for a table, it would be fun to explore their market.
In spite of all their warnings about the chance our food wouldn't be served together (it's served when it's ready so it's at it's freshest best, and the timing might not be the same for different dishes), all our entrees arrived together, after our appetizer, so it wasn't an issue for us.
Bre seemed really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and their products. Being from Seattle where specialty products abound, and culinary trend-setting is expected, we were pleased to find that ZZest did such a great job.
However, there was another server who was attending to us in addition to Bre, and they didn't seem to be communicating with each other so well, and she did not seem informed about the menu. She may just be new and learning, so I'm only putting this in the review in an attempt to be constructive.
We were very pleased with the quality, flair, and value of our meal, and will return if we have the opportunity.
