“I believe it is the best fine dining in Rochester.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014 via mobile

Pescara has the best fresh fish offerings in Rochester. We had never dined at this restaurant before. We talked to our dining the day before and decided this was going to be our destination. So, we show up without a reservation and asked the hostess to squeeze us in. She did this with no problem and was most congenial at all times. It did help that we were a little early and beat the dinging crowd crush. I would highly recommend having a reservation to be on the safe side.
We each had a different seafood entree that was flown in fresh that day. Myself, Big Eye Tuna, my wife, wild Salmon and our dining companion, a fresh fish that had to be beheaded and boned by our server. Speaking of which, our server was very knowledgeable of all the seafood, best method of preparation, best side sauce, accompanying starch, vegetable and wine.
The three of is thought the entire dining experience was simply excellent. It is a restaurant you should try. I would guarantee you will not be disappointed.

“Great fresh fish, Excellent service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2014

We have dined here several times while visiting the Mayo Clinic. On the first visit, we were somewhat disappointed as the tables were close together and it was very noisy. My wife's fish was pricy but excellent, my steak, however, was overdone--I'd ordered medium rare (wanting a warm, pink center), but got medium well. (That said, this has happened everywhere in Rochester I've ordered a steak, so they may have a different understanding of "medium rare" than I do.) The Sunday brunch was excellent, and includes a mimosa. My wife highly recommends the lobster bisque. Most importantly, the service at this restaurant is outstanding. We needed a very specific meal as prep for a medical test, and the chef personally met with us and went out of his way to create a special salmon dish (absolutely delicious) that fit our needs and also prepared another special dish to be eaten the next morning in our room.

“elegant dining room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

Located in the Doubletree Inn the dining room is on the small side filled with business travelers the night we were there. Highly recommend a reservation here for dinner given the space. The menu had many fish selections and different preparations, if you stick with the fish you will be fine. If you want a steak you may be disappointed. Bon Apetite!

“Amazing Breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Breakfast is not breakfast! The food here is of exceptional quality. The buffet it not a typical breakfast buffet that is of sub-par quality. They offered two varieties of scrambled eggs - one basic and one with everything) The french toast was excellent. For fresh fruit they offered blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and the typical melons and grapes. The pancakes were great and were cooked to order. The juice was fresh squeezed. We were unaware that the juice/coffee was included in the price and was pleasantly surprised. The buffet cost was $11 and well worth it. Can't wait to come here again.
