Fresh and delicious! Great place for lunch and dessert. Soups and sandwiches always hit the spot. A favorite place in Red Wing.

Great place to eat. So sad to hear it is closing. Fresh taste and wonderful staff! Wish a new owner would be found to keep it open.

“Great place for sandwiches to go for hiking or biking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

This is a great little cafe with wonderful homemade bakery goods and handmade sandwiches on homemade bread. There are tables both inside and outside or you can take your sandwiches to go if you are hiking or biking in Red Wing. The cafe is conveniently located right next door to the bike shop and just down the street from the shops in the old pottery factory.

We were there on a Saturday and found that the kitchen closes at 3 p.m. So, don't plan on a late lunch.

“Great food, friendly staff, good prices and easy to find. What more could you ask for?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013 via mobile

My son & his beautiful new girlfriend and I met 1/2 way for both of us. I decided on the Smokey Row Cafe for several reasons. First, it was rated #2 (soon to be #1 I am sure) for places to eat in Red Wing. Secondly, it was easily accessible for both of us. Thiirdly, it seemed by the other reviews that we could comfortably stay awhile and catch up. You order food at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. They have a bottomless cup of coffee on the menu that you can refill on your own with a variety of choices. We even took advantage of the to-go cup for thr cold rainy rode home. The food came in a very timely fashion. We all ordered something different and it all looked so good, we of course had to trade bites! Everything was as good as the other. Yummy. We felt welcome from the time we arrived until we left (almost 3 hours later!) They even had homemade products to purchase and take home with you. I chose granola and spinach-garlic bread, both made right there. Yes, it as good as the food we shared the previous days. I would highly recommend The Smokey Row Cafe if you passing through town or stopping by in Red Wing. You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful place to go for breakfast, lunch, bakery items, coffee and ice cream. Will definitely come back. Price is right for the food.
