Sioux Christensen was very friendly and welcoming. The extra effort of little touches here and there made our stay quite enjoyable and we felt right at home. The special attention to food allergies for breakfast was also quite appreciated and tasty! Thank you for a great stay in a home with a lot of history.

My two sisters and I booked the Hideaway suite for a girls getaway weekend. It was a beautiful suite perfect for the three of us with a hide-a-bed in a small sitting area. Sioux was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the history of the home. The complimentary cookies and soft drinks were a welcome treat when we arrived. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've had at a B&B. The quiche, fruit and strawberry rhubarb dessert was amazing! fresh and warm! I will definately bring my husband next time. and recommend this B&B to anyone.

We were visiting Red Wing on a spur of the moment mini vacation and the Golden Lantern had rooms available. She suggested the whirpool suite which was amazing. The place itself was beautiful. The food was amazing and she even cooked for special diets as I don't eat meat. Red Wing is a great place to spend a weekend and I look forward to going back and staying there again. Hopefully this time the firepit will be available as it rained the first night we were there and so we chose to use the whirlpool instead which was still wonderful!

We booked the Hideaway room midweek (Mon-Tues) during the off season. We were the only guests during the cool, sunny days. Both Sioux Christensen, the Innkeeper, and the accomodations in the beautiful Tudor revival house were fantastic. Not only was Sioux gratious and pleasant to visit with (along with 3 cute little dogs that were very well behaved) but she is a marvelous cook, preparing tasty breakfasts served 9:00 AM sharp. The beautiful house (both inside and out), our spacious room (with fireplace and whirlpool) and the ambience (restfull and luxurious) provided us with a fantastic stay in Red Wing.
