“Good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014 via mobile

We stayed in the hotel across the road, so this was very convenient. The staff was very friendly. There was a nice atmosphere. The mushroom, cheese, chicken and ragin' cajin chicken sandwiches and the chopped steak were delicious meals. We also grabbed some homemade pie slices for a snack later.

“Great Breakfast with a twist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

My food was very good at this family owned restaurant! The house skillet breakfast came with an enjoyable twist of hashbrowns mixed with a few ingredients added including green pepper and sausage. I am sure they serve plain hashbrowns for the less adventurous. The service was excellent.

“It's ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Had the mushroon and cheese omelet. The mushrooms looked and tasted like they came right out of a can, and the cheese was not entirely melted. eh, not appetizing. The wait staff was very polite and had a nice smile. Next time I will try something different from the menu. Parking lot always seems busy so somethin must be good. :0)

“Breakfast. ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2014

Stopped here before the drive back home. Great coffee and the blueberry pancakes are delicious. Didn't save room for pie but got one for the road. Apple Carmel. You gotta put this on your list to stop in. Mandy R was a great hostess.

“Save Room For the Pie”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

The A-Pine is a couple miles north of the little town of Pequot Lakes at the junction of Highway 371 and Country Road 16. You'll find most local folk there, but on occasion travelers on their way to the Whitefish Chain of Lakes, Leech Lake, or points even farther north will stop for lunch or a meal. The talk is about local events, fishing, and hunting. The ambiance is "north woodsy, simple, and circa 1950. The food is home cooked and not elaborate but very tasty. The coffee flows freely and the waitress will likely enjoy a chat with you. And then there is the pie! Locally baked, fresh and in just about any flavor you can imagine. Do save room for the pie.
