“Consistently good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

My only complaint about Toreys is that it always seems a little dark in there. No windows. However, the staff is friendly, attentive and the food is always good. Torey's also has a private room that seats about 50 and is perfect for Family Events, small receptions and again, his buffets are very tasty. Torey will also cater and has some awesome options for wedding receptions. Try his artichoke, spinach and cheese dip with garlic rounds. Out of this world.

“Great Lunch spot with small town service appeal!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I found Torrey's here on TA and have to say I was not disappointed. The presentation of the food wasn't fancy but it tasted great! It is need of a renovation, but nothing a fresh coat of paint couldn't fix. The booths were comfortable and my friend and Ihad a nice relaxing lunch. The staff was friendly, cheerful and about as happy as we were to have Dt. Dew "on tap." I tried an almond chicken salad suggested by the waitress and I was not disappointed with the reco. If you are looking for "fine dining" we may want to look elsewhere - not sure of the availability in Owatonna, but it is great for lunch and a casual setting. The service is not speedy, but we were not in a hurry, so it was a non-issue! Give it a try!

“Good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Torreys was recommended by our hotel (they even provided a 10% off coupon.) The food was pretty good, but it really wasn't the place I would consider taking a twelve your old kid. It was more like a bar that served food.

Took a chance on the daily special. It was wonderful. My whole table was very pleased with their meals.

“Unexpected surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

Called to Owatonna on business and brought better half. Like to seek out great local restaurants... we win some and lose some. Toreys is a real winner. Just off 35 W on Bridge Street you may have to search a bit but it's worth it. Facility has bar, dining room, and banquet room. Quiet atmosphere where you can actually carry on a conversation. Food and service are excellent. We were in a seafood mood so wife had sole entree and I the snapper. Both well prepared, nicely plated and seasoned. Large portions... dieters could easily share either entree. Had seafood cakes, 2 entrees (with salad), coffee, and creme brulee dessert... total food bill: $66... While not inexpensive, we thought this was good value all things considered. We saw many other entrees go by us with steaks and chops that looked every bit as good as our seafood. Will not hesitate to return to this little jem.
