This is a cafe that the locals seem to like. It appeared to have been busy right before we arrived, or the tables hadn't been cleared from the tables in a timely manner. We went there based on a recommendation from a local person at the ice rink. Being from Iowa that's usually a good way to find a good 'home cooked' meal. And we were looking for something good that wasn't fast food.
In this case the food was just 'alright' and the waitress seemed to have a hard time knowing what options went with the entree and whether or not the item on the menu was even available. 5 minutes after placing order she returned to tell us they didn't have any of one the items we ordered.
It looked like they had a large selection of pies but we didn't have any of that.
Overall I was unimpressed by the food and the service, and thought it was somewhat expensive too.
