If you like shopping, and lots of people Nisswa is where you will like to see. It is very small in size, but has excellent shopping. It is comparable to Pequot Lakes, and Walker, Mn for shopping. Fun, fun, fun. Children, & adult clothing stores, Restaurants, toy store, collectibles, sports, hair salons, candy store, book store, interior design, churches, etc. It's around fifteen minutes North of Brainerd/Baxter. It is also about five minutes south of Pequot Lakes. We have some larger destination Resorts in our area. Everyone from them goes shopping at all the listed areas. If you are into antiques than Crosslake, and more so Crosby/Ironton are your shopping areas. Everything is close for driving. Lots of water, trees, and green grass! This is a touristy place so the population varies in this whole area. There are alot of people who own cabins, and come up north to get away from the city. It is a resort area with lots of fun little shops in general. You have to experience it during the summer. During the winter alot, if not most of the shops close down. In the past few years more stores in Nisswa are staying open all year round. There are also little parades, and different things to check out. They also have turtle races during the summer for the kids. This is my idea of a small town!!!
