From the outside, the hotel looks well cared for, but upon entry the place just feels filthy. A deep down filth. The pillows! The thinnest I've encountered. I could've folded over one of the blankets and achieved greater thickness. I asked if there was anything they could do about them, and the nice lady at the front desk provided me with two pillows that were a bit better except for the long hairs on the pillow cases. If there is such thing as a Super 8 Motel Chain inspector, I doubt he or she would allow this property to keep the name. It tarnishes the image that I've experienced by staying at Super 8 Motels in other cities.
The staff is friendly and chatty, but it's as if they realize the situation with the decaying property and thrown up their hands.
This is the kind of place that makes you wonder if they really did in fact wash the sheets or simply just remade the bed (when we arrived, I noticed there was a large wrinkle at the foot of the bed where the sheets were bunched up.)
I showered as soon as I got to my next hotel in Mankato (a Fairfield Inn).
