The truth is, for some hotels, associates and especially sales directors, will, in a feeble attempt to "doctor the books" and generate revenue for their own property, will offer sub-par reviews of a competing hotel.
You will notice these vipers by the reviews they leave. If you see a hotel with more than 7 or 8 reviews, and yet one review stands out as the only "one star" rating, you can surmise this as being the calling card of someone with a destructive motive. Occasionally, these outlandishly poor reviews will be the honest opinion of an actual guest. Consider these people vipers too, with a motive of equal lethality; that of, a gain of self esteem through the robbery of anothers'.
But take heart, an accurate portrayal of any hotel can be found in these reviews. As with searching the internet for facts, you must take note of commonalities between sources. For example, if everyone says a hotel's service was good, but the breakfast bad, it probably was. On the other hand, beware of the reviews that take every one of the "bad's" of other reviews, multiply them, and explain them in laundry list fashion; this is the fingerprint of a hotel viper.
I certainly hope you enjoy this review. Some may trust these words and some may not; some may never see them. Whatever category you fall into, I wish you well in your search for truth.
