“Great hotel in Downtown Minneapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We had the pleasure to spend 2 nights at The Marquette he week of the Fourth. The Marquette is an excellent "boutique" hotel and part of the Hilton chain. We enjoyed a king bedroom on the corner on one of the Executive Floors, with a great view of downtown Minneapolis. The room was well-furnished, with a large desk, sofa, and arm chair. The marble bath had a shower only, with a great rainfall shower head as well as a hand-held shower. The hotel is well located in the IDS Center on the corner of Marquette and 7th Street, one block from Niccolet Mall and connected to the Minneapolis Skyway system. We also enjoyed an excellent rate (perhaps due to it being a holiday week).

Here for 2 nights to take in a Twins game. This is a beautiful facility and the staff are friendly and professional. Rooms are well appointed and spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Convenient to everything downtown. Really a good place to spend some time.
I wanted to give it a 5 rating ..... HOWEVER - it really steams me that they charge $13 a day for internet access. Especially, when a sister Hilton facility in Minneapolis (Hilton Gardens Inn) lists free internet access in its amenities.
We eat several meals at one of their restaurants, Basil's, and were delighted.
Getting there ... They don't have a shuttle from the airport. You can easily get there via the light rail from the airport to the Nicolette Mall stop and a short 2-3 block walk. Or you can spend a ton more and take a cab. The light rail is clean and well lit and we felt quite safe.

Stayed 3 nights at The Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis this past weekend (June 28th thru Sunday) and have to say the location could not have been any better. Restaurants, shops, tourist sites, clubs and Target field an easy walk in every direction which made the stay even better. As for the hotel, the full staff from the registration desk to housekeeping to restaurant/bar support, again, could not have been any nicer or willing to help. We used the parking garage and had no problems getting in or out. Was a great weekend and would definetly stay here again. Finally, had high expectations for Minneapolis and was still blown away by the good time I had.

Room Tip: We had room with king bed on a high floor. Just a preference they were able to accomodate. Room was...

The hotel's location was well-situated in the center of Minneapolis. It was close to many great shops, restaurants, and bars. Transportation was great as well; getting to the airport was easy since the train station was just a few blocks from the hotel. The front desk was very welcoming; very professional. I had asked them for some maps of the area and suggestions for things to do. Everything they told me was great and they were very efficient getting me things I needed. The room was clean, quiet, and all in all agreeable. It was a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

My son and I were in town to see a couple of Twins games at Target field and had the pleasure of staying at this great hotel. Everything was fantastic! The location, rooms, staff, parking etc. Walking distance to all. Only a few short blocks to Target field and several pubs along the way to grab a bite to eat before the game. It's a happening town and very friendly. I'd reccommend staying at this hotel if in town, it won't dissappoint!

Great location and a beautiful hotel! We especially enjoyed dining at Basil's. Parking garage was a bot of a challenge to find but ove we asked the staff it was easy.
