Shocked by the lack of basic amenities at this hotel:
1) no bell captain or anyone to help with luggage (really?)
2) parking lot is a walk from the the hotel....and since there's no valet, I had to walk in the snow (you have to walk outside to even get there). This neighborhood is sketchy at best, and I was scared to walk from the parking lot to the hotel. (And since there's NO bell captain to help you, you haul your luggage from the lot.) I'm a frequent traveler but I still found this to be frightening.
3) you have to pay as you go at the lot -- I finally asked if I could just put the cost of daily parking on my room -- you can but you have to ask. And it's way too expensive for a self-park lot in a crappy neighborhood.
I rarely complain about hotels....but my gosh, this is a major city? Near a university? Not worth the cost (it was expensive for the lack of service.)
Also: since this seems to be a hotel for college sports teams, it would be nice to have known this in advance so I didn't have to deal with noisy college kids - running up and down the halls, hogging the elevators...etc.
Never again.
