Nice place. Comfortable bed. Fitness facility is excellent! Breakfast is hit or miss. Location is about a 15 minute drive to everything. Parking is confusing and not very convenient and costs $20 per night. NO VALET. Overall great, but not spectacular.

run from this hotel and don't even think about entering!!! The manger is rude and nasty he will yell at you in front of guests embarrassing you that is what happened when I checked in at 10pm Thursday August 28th. The manager will tell you if you don't like it their is the door and go some where else accept I prepaid so I was stuck with those accommodations or loose money. We found a cock roach in our room and the bed spread was filthy looked like foot prints on it and dust webs in ceiling corners and employees said ya well we will take care of it laer. They gave us a room that was dead right to desk as if they were watching us CREEPY!!!! Breakfast was terrible, eggs and cheese were dried out and no sausages on Friday. Also had to pay $20 a day for parking which was not displayed. I expected better from HYATT I would never stay at hotel.

Room Tip: don't stay on first floor

Had a 2 bedroom suite that could easily host 6-8 ppl. Spacious. Never felt crowded. Only prob we found was heating was controlled by one central thermostat so hard to keep everyone pleased with the room temp. But was tolerable. Was easy to walk to downtown but not safe to do so after dark. Rent a bike! Well worth the money to easily get around downtown.

We stayed in this hotel because of the convenience of being close to Target Field and the lite rail. We could walk to the game and then take the train to the Mall of America. The hotel offers a very good hot breakfast with fresh fruit and all the fixings. They have a happy hour from 4-7 with everything for $3.00 which included appies, beer on tap and wine. Very good as well. The rooms were very spacious and modern. We were on the 4th floor, so sound was not an issue. Beds were very comfortable and no problem parking our vehicle. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The higher the better and corner rooms are largest

This hotel is closer to the light rail than it is to downtown...but you can definitely see the downtown buildings from the property. We were on the second floor on the backside of the hotel and it was a little noisy but it didn't stop me from having a good night's rest. The lobby is spacious and open and the rooms are too. I was impressed with the decor especially the spa like bathroom with its sliding glass door and spa white decor. The hotel breakfast was pretty good and even though there weren't any meatless breakfast sandwich choices, I was able to get one "custom made" and brought to my table. The staff was hospitable and cheery. The room was clean and updated. There is a work out room and a pool but I didn't take advantage of either.Best of all - free wifi! You can walk to Nicollet mall if you are a walker, otherwise it is just a stop away on the light rail. If you get a little hungry in the middle of the night, there is also a little on site deli with sandwiches, fruit, cookies and drinks. It is expensive though so be prepared. I would recommend a stay at the Hyatt Place downtown Minneapolis.

Overall, this was a great hotel with more positives than negatives. They offer a wonderful morning breakfast in a HUGE lobby/eating area and an ample selection of foods. The room was overly large and spacious, almost a 2-bedroom, with a lot of space inbetween the bedroom area and the living area - two big-screen tvs, and nice views of the city no matter what side of the building you are on or even what floor. The hotel is also completely connected to the skyway system so you never have to walk on the streets if you don't want to. They are within walking distance of everything, and offer a courtesy vehicle around the city for $5 a ride. They have a fitness center, a very tiny pool, and a very small deli on-site. The negatives were lack of air conditioning in the lobby and elevators, the very tiny pool, and the hotel is right on the very outskirts of the downtown, almost out of the downtown. If you are fit and like to walk you'll be fine, but others might find it too far from Nicollette Mall, the stadium, etc. Using the streets it was about 15 minutes to Nicollette, and about 25 minutes to the Target Center - using the skywalk it was double that. There is also NO FOOD around! Seriously, on weekends, there is no food anywhere in vicinity because the downtown is bascially shut down until business resumes on Monday morning. So, unless you have a car (we didn't), it will be hard to find food on weekends. There were also some homeless hanging around the building, but we felt safe at night and even walked back about 11 pm once. Free wifi. Very close to the blue line metro, a 5 minute walk. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Room Tip: any, nice hotel, views all around

The hotel is located downtown about a block from the Metro/light rail. The lobby area is huge and very modern looking. Check in was quick. The room was huge. It had a large sitting room with a tv as soon as you walked in. The bedroom had 2 queen beds with plenty of room to spare. The linens were clean and white and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and modern. I felt comfortable walking around the floors in my socks. The breakfast was delicious. There were pancakes and bacon, egg and cheese biscuits, oatmeal and a variety of other breakfast items. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only con I have is that the hotel is next to the street and I could hear sirens and vehicles in the room. I would recommend that you bring some earplugs or stay on a higher floor or a room not on the street side.

Room Tip: If possible, stay on a higher floor or on the side not next to the street
