“Time for renovation!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012 via mobile

The most disgusting filthy dirty room I have every stayed in ! No room service even though they claim that as one of their "amenities " TV's were from back the 80's when they worked, my blanked had FRESH STAINES, heater was broken, carpets were stained , glass picture window was so dirty with hand prints you could barely see through them. Not to mention the MOLD on the tub! This hotel needs to clean up their act or be shut down by the board of health! Please think twice before booking with this hotel!

“Good deal, good staff, older accomodations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I stayed here for a conference. The rooms were large and clean but older in style and could have used a touch up of paint. The breakfast offered was very good. The hotel connects to the skyway, which was essential in November in Minneapolis. The staff were very nice and should be commended. The hotel switched two days prior to our arrival to an Aspen Suites and they only found out about it the day of the switch. It would have been understandable if they would have not been as courteous and accomodating in that time of uncertainty and all of their customers calling to confirm reservations. However, every person that I encountered was very nice and did their best to take care of our needs.

“Big Rooms, Good Staff but not enough of them”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Newly taken over as Aspen Suites, this hotel has pro's and cons depending on what you are looking for. These were two bedroom suites at a good price, but they need to clean up the markings on the doors/halls from the old owners. Bed was decent, pillows need work. Nice breakfast if you can get at it. One person to serve omelets so that looked like a 30-minute wait on Viking game morning. The space for breakfast was way to cramped, especially since they have so much more room available in this area. Terrible traffic flow pattern, but if you don't mind being crowded, it was a good breakfast (nice if they would add fruit/yogurt and healthier choices). All the staff we dealt with were excellent, but they need more of them. Management seems to be the problem here. Sunday morning at 10 a.m. checkout, one lone rep answering calls and helping us all was ridiculous.

“You have to pay to Park.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The hotel a block away had free parking and the room was less expensive. Our room was big and clean with two tv, one in each room. A great setup if you are having a convention and having to meet people in your room. The tv did not have AMC. The elevator that went from the garage to hotel smelled a little funky.

“check in then out in one hour”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

The management of the place should be ashamed of themselves. Not only was it filthy, nothing worked! When i asked about the room heat (48 Degrees outside) the desk attendent giggled saying " oh, its not on yet. it's been getting up into the seventies and we can't turn it on or it gets too hot" bullpucky! they should close this place untill it is suitable to habitate.

Room Tip: go somewhere else, anywhere!
