The management of the place should be ashamed of themselves. Not only was it filthy, nothing worked! When i asked about the room heat (48 Degrees outside) the desk attendent giggled saying " oh, its not on yet. it's been getting up into the seventies and we can't turn it on or it gets too hot" bullpucky! they should close this place untill it is suitable to habitate.

We stayed because it's a choice hotel, but it was a huge mistake! The rooms are very large, but extremely worn and not clean at all. When we checked in we noticed things like black hairs in the tub from a previous guest, and gum on the headboard. So we called from desk and they sent someone from housekeeping up. We got back to our room later that night, and they had replaced a towel and cup but the gum and hair were still there! The next morning housekeeping knocked at 8:05 and when we asked them to come back anytime later they said "actually Im on a tight schedule so do you need anything or not" and so we got towels, and for the next 3 days they knocked so early we never got a chance to get our room cleaned. The only good thing about this hotel is breakfast! The food is not only good, but the attendants keep it up very well and them as well as the omelet chef are always very pleasant in the morning. I would suggest finding a different hotel unless you have no choice!

First of all, when we checked in the lady would not honor our AAA discount because we didn't enter it online when we booked it and she was very rude about it. Photos are not what you get, at least not when we stayed there last June 2011. It is rundown, room was gross, bathroom had hair pieces on floor and stains on counter, sheets had stains, smelt like smoke, horrible view from window (which we were supposed to get scenic view), and this was recommended to us unfortunately. For the price of $184 nite, we could have stayed at Graves hotel or the Westin for under that. The mgr. was nice and refunded 1 nite, and admitted they needed to remodel, that was the only nice thing, O and the bar was ok too. Would not recommend unless it has been renovated, then I would consider it....maybe!

The hotel is a older but it is very clean, The room are spacious with a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed. My only complaint was the sleeper couch, really could use a new mattress.

Breakfast, included in your room rate was the best I have every had. Omelette station was wonderful, made to order with all types of meats, cheese and veggies. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, cereals, fruits, yogurt and the yummy cinnamon buns.

Location is perfect, few blocks to the Metrodome and about 1/2 mile to Target Center. The hotel is attached to the Skywalk for easy access to the light rail Transit and all of downtown. The rail system is very easy, took it from the airport to downtown and the next day downtown to the Mall of America. It cost around $2 pp per ride.

The staff was very helpful with directions and advice on some great restaurants.

This was our first visit to Minneapolis but it won't be our last. Thanks for a great 3 night stay!
