My boyfriend and I got a room here late on a saturday night, around 3 am after finding out the Best Werstern Normandy Inn was full. We got a decent rate (under a hundred dollars). Check in was speedy but the front desk person was hardly friendly.I was slightly annoyed that we were not informed what time breakfast ran from, what time check out was at, or directed towards our room. I currently work at the front desk of a hotel and this is standard infomartion we tell everyone when checking in. The room decor was outdated and the lighting was poor. The worst part of the room was the tv. Small, ancient tv that got around four fuzzy channels. What...? the location is great and the price is decent, but you're also sacrificing a lot.

Great location downtown, walked to target field and took the Hiawatha train to mall of America. Very old building but staff are very friendly, James @ the front desk was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious for those who like to have stretch out. The included breakfast with made to order omelets are fantastic and everyone gets served in a timely manner. Attended the twins/ Yankees games and will be back next year.

Visited this hotel for business for 5 days. This was a good find! There was nothing amazing about it, but it had everything I needed when I travel for work: kitchen area with fridge, microwave, and full sink, living area with a large table & plenty of power outlets, and a comfortable bed in a safe location. The breakfast was pretty good (although I fear for any vegetarians looking to stay here!) and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Happy hour at the hotel bar was a great value, the bartender was friendly and fun. Parking is $16 a night and under the hotel. It's in a great location for business travelers, and it was very close to anything I needed -- drugstore, supermarket, take out, restaurants, etc. I'd definitely stay here again when I travel to Minneapolis for work.

I stayed at the Comfort Suites on 7th Street for 3 nights. Street level access is not glamorous but neither is the hotel. The hotel is dated but you could do worse. The staff is friendly and the rooms are suites, so plenty of room.
Full breakfast is included, I opted for the omelette station which was very good.
Location is good although if you are taking the light rail from MSP it is a couple of city blocks away. Forget trying to hail a cab - have the front desk call one for you.

If you visit the lounge, say hello to Patty - All in all - I would probably stay again if I was on a budget.
