We had our van broken into on the night of Oct 22. The staff was said that that was too bad but they couldn't do anything about the situation. They acted like it was the first time this had ever happened which isn't the case. They stated that there were no security cameras in the parking area. Offered to give me the number for the police dept. Did not offer to help clean up broken glass or anything. However, from earlier reviews here it appears that the breaking into cars at this hotel has happened several times in the last six months. There were NO valuables in our van! The only thing taken was a bag with some notebooks that had no value to anyone. Broken window , damaged and trashed the interior. However, by the time all the repairs are completed the bill will top $1,500 dollars. Brand new Honda Odyessy van trashed. Until there is some real security installed at this hotel, I would advise everyone to stay away! This is an unsafe hotel for travelers. If they can break into your car due to lack of security what stops them from breaking into your room.
Note: the local Honda dealer Richfield in Bloomington were fantastic. They went above and beyond to help us get back on the road!
But about Days Hotel by Days Inn, STAY AWAY it is UNSAFE!!!

I'm so sorry to hear that any of our patrons would be subjected to a car break-in. I understand how frustrating and angry you must feel about the situation. We do try to be very clear of the importance of not leaving items of value or suspected value such as bags in the car. We also do have cameras inside the hotel, safes in the room, and baggage check available so our patrons do not have to leave bags and valuables unattended in their vehicle and leave themselves susceptible to theft and/ or property damage. This is actually a very safe and robust neighborhood and I'm always saddened to hear of a couple bad apples spoiling the experience of any of our guests. This type of situation isn't the norm and it isn't taken lightly. Thank you for your feedback and I'm so sorry to hear of this experience. Take care!
