Not wanting to eat hotel food, I walked 5 blocks to the Panera for a quick soup and salad. It was near closing time and the staff acted like they didn't want me to eat. I was told that I could eat inside the restaurant, but my food would be boxed up like a "to go." Really? What does it matter if just 2 more dishes were used? The 1/2 sandwich I ordered was not on the bread that I ordered, and the sandwich literally had one thin slice of roast beef. Was this my payback for coming close to closing time? Tables and dining room were not clean. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone used to the higher quality that Panera usually has.
