“Inexpensive Mediterranean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

This place is great...part deli, part grocery. The hummus is great, the gyro is average and the prices are very good.

“Ethnic Diversity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

This bakery and deli is very diverse. It is the only place in the Twin Cities to buy most of what they offer. Bakery is excellent in many different breads from cultures around the world.

“Amazing...even with slight hiccup :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

I've been planning on going to this restaurant for months, once I was finally able to get away to Minneapolis. Finally went and it was amazing. When the door opens you are flooded with the aroma of spices that you rarely encounter. Find a menu and stand in line while you try to decide what to order. Go ahead, you'll find too many things to try but I doubt you'll be disappointed with whatever you choose. Place your order, get a number, the wander over to the grocery area. So many items to look over, many of which you'd be hard pressed to find in a more "traditional" supermarket. Try some of the candy...go ahead...you know that you are curious...

The clientele that patronize Holy Land are beyond pleasant. No one is rude, pushy, or loud. It seems like every nation is represented here, both in the employees and the patrons. It is a wonderful thing to see and be a part of.

Now the food. I ordered then Holy Land Combo with rice. It took longer than usual because the were out of one of the kabobs but they apologized and then added baklava and another side. The kabobs were delicious, especially the chicken and lamb. The rice pilaf was great, adding some hot sauce makes it even better! The baklava was the best I've ever had. It was fresh and not overly sweet. I dare say that I think it was homemade...crazy..

I loved this place and can't wait to go back. It will be difficult to even think about going to any perkinsdonaldbellbeesround-chain restaurants after going here. Try it and I think that you will agree :)

“Relaxed atmosphere, great food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

This place is a well-kept secret in North-East Minneapolis; I went to the deli with some friends who had been there before, and I was impressed. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous.

“Great grocery store”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

for those things that you want to get cheaper than Rainbow will offer. They also have a restaurant attached, and they make fresh bread every day.
