“My only Hotel in Mnpls...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2010

I stay at the Westin every time I'm in Minneapolis. The lobby and bar area is really cool, the rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the service is outstanding. The downtown location is perfect for meetings with customers as well as being right in the heart of all the action at night. It's my only hotel in Minneapolis.

I had the pleasure of attending a board retreat at the Westin Minneapolis. The meeting space was comfortable and was surrounded by huge windows overlooking the Minneapolis skyline. The sleeping rooms were elegant and plush. Every staff member exceeded my expectations of service. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was amazing.

Who doesn't love a Westin Heavenly bed and shower. I thought the room was very comfy, yet sophisticated. I loved the Westin standard amenities that appeal to your senses. I had a great night sleep.

As far as the meeting space went, I thought their hotel offered the perfect space for a small sized group. Food and service were both amazing!

Parking is the only downside. If you do not want to valet, there are several parking ramps nearby that will offer less expensive pricing.

My husband and I stayed here May 29 - 30, 2010 to see the Twins play the Texas Rangers. The new Target Field is a short 4 block walk straight down the street from the hotel. Parking is a nightmare thanks to the directions from the Westin website, but once we got to valet, things were great. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the staff was friendly, and the room was a good size. We stayed on the 6th floor and our view out the window was the roof top, but I don't care, I'm not there to look out the hotel window all day. The bathroom is a little small, but it had a HUGH walk-in shower (no tub), so I had no problem with it. The handle on the glass door of the shower was REALLY loose, but nothing someone can't fix with a screwdriver. The bed, as usual, was perfect and the room overall was great. We never had to wait long for the elevators and I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. We did not eat at the restaurant, but the bar and the restaurant always seemed busy. Happy traveling :)

Stayed at the Westin with my sweetie on Valentines day. The food at BANK was out of this world. The room was clean, very modern and quite comfortable. We ordered room service for breakfast - the food was great and service was quick. Every staff member we came in contact with was very friendly. Loved the location right downtown - perfect evening.

Fabulous place to stay. Was there for business and needed to get to the convention center daily. This hotel was about 6 blocks away and a 6 minute walk. VERY CLEAN...Very Safe neighborhood, never felt afraid to be a female alone. The hotel had the Heavenly mattress, which indeed was heavenly! Ate at the many restaurants in the area and had Sunday Buffet brunch which at 12 bucks was CHEAP but yummy.
The light rail was directly behind the hotel so very easy to get to and from airport or the Mall of America which was only $1.75 to either place. Visited my friends at their hotels...
My room was larger and brighter than both the Hilton and the very dark and disappointing Hyatt...a lot less money too. This place is a winner...stay here and you will be happy you did.
