With everything the Westin offers, it's difficult to find a better hotel to stay at in Minneapolis.

I've been staying at the Westin since it opened. Usually I'm in Minnesota for only one or two nights, and I need a place that's centrally located downtown. This Westin offers that, and it comes with the familiarity and excellence that's usually associated with the Westin/W family of hotels. But the two main selling points for me here would have to be the stainless steel indoor pool and the management staff.

It's difficult to find an upper-tier hotel downtown that offers both a state-of-the-art workout facility AND an indoor pool. This Westin offers both. The cold towels and free weights in the gym are also a plus.

The second reason why I always stay here is the staff. The manager, Charles Bushard, has always been accommodating and really goes the extra mile to make sure my stay is pleasant. From his attention to detail with my special requests to room selection, he truly aims to please.

Overall, you can't go wrong with The Westin. You're close to everything downtown, the staff will handle your every need, and when you go to unwind you can relax on their Heavenly Beds. You'll be happy you stayed here.

We stay at the Westin every time we are downtown Minneapolis. It was only fitting to stay there on the night of our wedding. Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were the perfect touch!! Sadly we only stayed there for about 4 hours due to a early honeymoon flight. We have stayed at The Westin twice since then and it's been fabulous everytime.

This is a beautiful hotel and the restaurant bar downstairs is phenomenal but there were a few things I wish would could have been improved... the pool was out of commission for my entire stay, the shower wouldn't drain and the staff at the restaurant seemed a little disorganized. Took a long time for anyone to come over to our table and then after we told them we were in a hurry they seemed distracted and never brought us our bill after asking twice... we eventually just went up to the register and waited until they remembered. Other than that its a beautiful hotel!!

Room Tip: the 3rd floor has the workout room and pool!

Green Features: could be better but I appreciate the green tag we could hang on the door to let them know we don't need the towels washed. :)

Great location and unbelievable beds. Ate at the bar/restaurant and was pleased. It is a very unique and quaint building. Try and get a corner room as they are bigger! Enjoy the Twin cities. This hotel is right in the heart of the downtown area. Lots to do nearby.

The Westin in downtown Minneapolis is located in a historic bank building. The lobby/bar area is very pretty. Within walking distance was a mall, eating establishments and a bar with live music. All employees were helpful. It was recommended to us to use valet parking, which we did since the hotel is in a downtown area with little parking available. The Sunday morning breakfast buffet was very good food and reasonably priced at around $12 per person. There is not a fridge in the room - you can request one though. You also have the option of renting workout clothing for $5 if you did not pack yours. We did not try this option so don't know well that works.

Green Features: Literature is in the rooms about promoting environmentally friendly choices, also healthy eating tips.

We recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with an overnight stay at the Westin in downtown Minneapolis. It is an old bank building that has been beautifully redone. The standard rooms were a bit on the small side, but very nicely decorated. The bed was the high point of the room! So comfortable! When we told them it was our anniversary they graciously offered to comp us a dinner or breakfast. We had already made plans, however. I recommend staying at this Westin. You won't regret it!
