“Date night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

My wife and I went here after seeing "wicked" at the orpheum. It was great! It was quiet and a smaller/quaint setting. The good is delicious! We started with a meat and cheese appetizer which was good. It wasn't the best we have ever had, but it was good and was a nice bridge to the salad. They have bread with edamame butter. It was ok. Nothing amazing. The salad was superb! We shared the wedge salad which had smoked salmon and chocolate covered pretzels! The main course was salmon for my wife which was very good and the drunken duck breast for me. The duck was amazing! The chef is a true artist! We finished with dessert. I had the bread pudding which was ok. It was dry and needed some sort of sauce other than the ice cream. My wife had the tres leches dessert which was phenomenal! I had a nutty Irishmen with dessert and the bar tender mixed in pistachio liquor which was amazing. Both my wife and I agreed that it was the best nutty Irishmen we had ever had!

I highly recommend this place for a wonderful date night or a quiet setting to have a wonderful meal and good fellowship!

“an intimate restuarant with excellent food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We were in the neighborhood and had just an hour before our show, we saw great reviews on tripadvisor so we stopped into the restaurant. They were gratious enough to set us up with two seats at the bar, since they had no additional reservations available. The bartender was excellent, he asked if we were going to a show and what time it started. He made great suggestions on the menu. He also made sure we got our order in quickly and the food came out soon after. Our food was wonderful. We will definately be back again and requesting seats at the bar.

“The whole package: food, service, atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

In town for the weekend and rather than settle for mediocre hotel restaurant, we Called about half hour before arrival and they were able to seat us. Historic building, proud owner on premises and upscale but comfortable atmosphere. Menu changes every 60 days and is select. Service exceptional, food delicious and adventurous. Be sure to enjoy martinis before dinner and dessert for fabulous send off to wonderful evening.

“Wow! Just wow!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

Went there based on TA recommendations, and am I glad I did. Chose the 5-course tasting menu, and liked every single course plus the paired wines. I went on a Monday night when the Guthrie was in recess, so there were very few of us. Service from Kim was superb. Highly recommended!

“Affordable culinary treat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Visiting, a friend reserved a Tuesday dinner. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing. It's a great value. The dishes are reasonable portions and are highly creative. One of our courses was a cold watermelon soup with creme fresh spiced up with habanero extract. The wine pairing was not simply wine, one of the courses had a champagne with a dash of balsamic instead of bitters.
For a metro area and a well crafted culinary tour, the $69/person fare is a real value.
