“Great hotel - specially if you pay $159”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2010

Beautiful hotel, huge room with contemporary decor, large rainshower, really nice featherbed. Restaurant at the hotel is great both for food and drinks.
We loved this hotel and recommend it to anyone (business or pleasure). The rates vary, we paid $159 and thought it was a very good value if you like high-end modern hotels.

My husband and I went here for a relaxing weekend. We have stayed in Minneapolis many times and like to try new hotels. We love the Chambers. This stay was perfect. It is clean, spacious, excellent location and the room service food was good. All this while having a modern yet functional decor. (not sure why one review said shower was not functional-we did not find this to be the case?)

It is quiet despite the city center location. We have stayed at the W (rooms are too dark) and the Graves 601(great choice we just wanted something different) and would recommend Chambers to anyone deciding between these hotels. The D'Amico Restaurant group is one the best in the city and the one in the Chambers is no exception.

The hotel is without a doubt, the best boutique hotel in the Midwest, its everything a new and modern hotel should be, the bar outside is nice to relax, the bar and cafe indoors is off the hook great food and nice scene. I love the rooms, and the suites are hard to leave the room once in them...why? Its nicer than most luxury condos, a magazine cover that feels just right.

if you can swing it, this place and the W Forshay, are IT!

Graves is a nice option too...

My friends and I had a girls weekend in the cities recently and we had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. It was fantastic, we thought that we would be out on the town more then we were but preferred to spend most of our time at the hotel in the different bars they have there. We did take the front desks suggestion to have dinner downstairs and found it to be excellent. After dinner we went out to a couple different places near by but came back early to check out the rooftop bar as well as the great courtyard with a very large fire pit. From the great food to the helpful staff and amazing rooms we will definitely be coming back to this hotel. I this we may make this the go to spot every time we come to town.

The carpet was stained in what appeared to have been water damage -- which gave the hallway a strong moldy odor. The air in our room had a stale, moldy smell that made us feel ill. When we commented to the front desk staff, they were not interested. The hotel is decorated with modern art which includes plasma screens depicting all kinds of disturbing images, including a woman vomiting. The hotel was very busy with a trendy crowd who were very loud. The bathroom was clean but put form above function with a modern sink that splashed everything. We will not stay here again.

The hotel was overbooked, so they upgraded me to the Rock and Roll Suite. It was awesome - more sq footage than my first house and extremely nice.

A great shower and separate bathtub. The bed was extremely comfortable and the location is great. Know for the 'artwork' - not my taste, but still cool.

I'd highly recommend the hotel!

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2008

i stayed at Chambers for 2 nights. My room was very spacious and very functional. There was a large counter top area that was ideal for spreading out work papers and my computer. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large, with neat fixtures like a rain shower head.

I found the staff to be very friendly and efficient (with one exception below). They gave me excellent tips for restaurants and shops in the area.

I had a business dinner in the restaurant, Chambers Kitchen, which was outstanding and reasonably priced for its quality. My only beef was that the breakfast service was abominably slow. So much so that i left after waiting at the table for more than 10 minutes without service.

I would definitely go back to Chambers.
