I frequently travel on business and have certain expectations of full-service hotels: a decent restaurant, well-equipped fitness center, friendly staff, and an accommodating concierge lounge (I have Marriott Rewards Platinum status). This hotel delivers on all counts.
I had no issues with the room itself. Both times I have been a guest, I arrived a bit earlier than the standard, 3 PM check-in time. On both occasions, I was able to check in and get my room key, finding a clean room upon entering. Room sizes are fairly typical of a full-service Marriott, though if you get a room at the end of a hallway, you will get wrap-around windows and a bit larger room.
The restaurant is an Irish pub that seems to be a favorite watering hole for locals who work in businesses nearby. That's actually a plus because it makes the place more lively. The selection of whiskeys, beer and other libations is very good. The food is excellent, particularly the fish and chips, and the onion rings with curry sauce (which I highly recommend). I had an egg white omelette for breakfast during one of my stays (something different from the basic fare in the concierge lounge) and I was not surprised to find it was very good.
The only issue with this hotel is getting to it. It is on the frontage road (Wayzata Blvd) for I-394 and the entrances are difficult to see from the approaches to the hotel. Signage along the streets bordering the property could be better done.
