“No service!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2012

We read good reviews, so we wanted to use our restaurant.com certificate. Called to make reservations, and were told we wouldn't need them. Upon arrival, it appeared many patrons were sitting, and not getting served very fast. Waited 10 minutes for a table to be bused so we could be seated. Then sat and waited over 15 minutes, with no waitress or waiter stopping by for our drink orders, or food orders. We walked out at that point!!! Even the bus men were ignoring us!

“Authentic Mexican”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2012 via mobile

My partner and I shared la parradilla de tierra. It's an amalgam of pork, beef, chicken, chorizo, onions and cactus that is simply wonderful. It easily serves 3-4, so I've had lunches for several days. There were a couple of jefe's too many that could have been serving but our server was giving 120%.

“Oh the noise, noise, noise!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2011 via mobile

I felt like the Grinch as I headed to my car after dining at Nuevo Rodeo. There were boxing matches blaring on the 4 TVs during our entire meal. We had a Groupon that was not ackowledged on the bill. When I went to register, they did not fulfill full terms of Groupon after my second request. Service was slow, the ambience lacking. I must admit that the pineapple chipotle margarita was intriguing and the ceviche delicious. The salsa was way too hot...and i am a spice lover Overall, I would not go back.

“some good, some not so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

We are used to a free basket of chips, not here. The pitcher of Dos Equis was bad and had to be replaced. The waiter misunderstood our appetizer order (He spoke English well.) The enchiladas with green sauce were very tasty. (Why do they call it red and green sauce if it is an "authentic" Mexican restaurant?) Overall, more expensive than it was worth. The staff were friendly, but service was a bit slow.

“Ole mole!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2009

We went here for lunch after the other 2 places we tried were closed on a Monday, and we were glad that we did! I really enjoyed the mole chicken enchiladas and my husband liked the tampiquena (skirt steak with mole cheese enchiladas). He was also delighted to have Mexican Coke. Even the tortilla chips and fresh salsa were a cut above. The loud Latin pop music blaring from the TV's was a bit annoying and I see from the website that they seem to have dance events and happy hour, so maybe it could get rowdy at night, but we had a super-tasty lunch.

Overall the service was pretty good and the food was great and a good value. We wished we weren't so full, because their desserts sounded amazing, including a chocolate cake "pyramid" to the Aztex god of chocolate. :-)
