I only heard a few rumblings about this restaurant but wanted to check it out. Upon arrival we sat at the tiny bar in view of the kitchen for a drink before our table was ready. The place had good energy overall, simple decor, etc. We had the most delicious red wine while we waited; they have a nice selection. Right off the bat though I noticed it wasn't the friendliest of service, not as warm and inviting as the cozy corner restaurant should have. Our goat cheese polenta appetizer was good, not great and an ongoing theme with my entree of vegetarian risotto. Without the added morels that the waitress suggested it would have been quite boring really. I was embarrassed to ask for salt but I had to. My fiance had the pork dish which he seemed to really enjoy. I was a little let down in terms of the taste of the food, but I did really like the quaint and simplistic atmosphere. I appreciated the freshness of the food and the presentation. However, when we return I would order something with a little more zest.
