“Delicious!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Zumbro is a linden hills classic, with great food, a sunny space, and friendly wait staff. lots of vegetarian options as well as good traditional breakfasts. be prepared for a little bit of a wait-we've been there many times and on a weekend morning it could be up to 30 minutes, but usually we are seated within 15 or so-the staff is very organized.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

Have been to Zumbro Café a few times for breakfast/brunch and never been disappointed. The specials as well as the menu items are very tasty and fresh. Waffles are great! Limited seating, but, only once we had to wait for a long time (admittedly, our group was large and it was middle of a Sunday morning). Service is good.

“Delicious, Fresh, Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Finally had our first meal here, and will be returning regularly. The food is fresh, delicious, well-proportioned, and truly has the taste / look / feel of a fully home-made meal made by grandparents on a farm. The potatoes are perfect (not greasy, cooked just right, seasoned just enough), the egg dishes are amazing, the coffee is strong & delicious, and the breads are unbelievable. And if your server asks if you'd like some jam to go with your toast -- you are going to miss out on a transcendental experience if you say "no thanks". Service was wonderful, and we simply cannot wait to bring more friends and family here... or just to escape on those "I'm having troubles starting my work day" mornings.

“cozy neighborhood find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

I suppose if you live in Linden Hills you are aware of Zumbro Cafe. We happened by it on a Saturday morning enroute to Aquatennial festivities. What a great find. The Frittatas are creative and prepared with fresh ingredients. We had the Hardwood Smoked Bacon and Gouda and the Portabella, Spinach & Goat Cheese. Both were delicious. Just the right amount. of and frittata and potato accompaniment. Our son had the French toast topped with warm fruit compote and large dollop of hand whipped cream. Our only criticism was with the coffee. It was just average and watery. The setting is tight and cozy. Plan to wait. put your name in and take in the uniqueness of the neighborhood.
