Broders is a family run neighborhood Italian restaurant that has been our favorite restaurant for the past 10 years. We LOVE this place! This is not a spaghetti, pizza type of Italian restaurant. Menu is seasonal and prepared to perfection. Menu items change frequently; there is always a 'daily special' . Many entrees include various types of ravioli, gnocchi, risotto. The combinations of flavors they put into an entree is excellent. Last night I had butternut squash ravioli, which is a fall favorite of mine there. Not a large wine selection, but good wines to choose from. Some local beers, but none on tap.
They do not take reservations. The restaurant is small. We find that going before 5:30 we rarely have a wait. You can call an hour ahead to put your name on the waiting list. Definitely worth the wait. They cannot accommodate large groups due to the size. Not a place to go if you are having 10 relatives tag along! If there are just the two of us, we like to request seats at the pasta bar. It has a comfortable feeling and frequently you find you are engaging in a conversation with someone sitting next to you. Parking can be tricky. They have a small lot, but you probably will need to park on the street and walk a bit. Across the street is Broder's deli, which has pizza slices, lasagna, salads, etc
Outdoor seating in appropriate seating. Also a recently opened wine bar across the street which we have not yet tried..
