“Weekend retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We love the skyway system in winter. We were caught in a bit of a snowstorm, and having the skyway system to navigate between hotels and restaurants is amazing. This gives us the confidence to travel to Minneaoplis in the winter knowing that storms cannot impede the fun times!

“Pretty Cool Way to Avoid the Cold”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

Think "great wall of China" only indoors and downtown (St Paul and Minneapolis).

What an interesting idea to help downtowners survive the long and bitter winters... Build a maze of connecting tubes between the buildings, to allow people to navigate block after block while winding their way across downtown. Its functional, it works (only confusing to the newbies like me) and most importantly -its Warm!

“Very nice system”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

You can get around most of the city in the skyway. I mainly use it when I go to Target Field or the Target Center.

“Better than walking outside in winter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

In toronto you go from block to block underground, I like our mpls skyway system since you can look down at traffic. I would give it 5 stars but sometimes some skyways are closed after business hours

“Unique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

A system of interconnected climate-controlled pedestrian walkways that link 698 city blocks for over 10 miles. It's a great alternative to walking outdoors, especially in the winter. But weekends are comparatively quieter and depending on the hours, many eateries are closed. It's a fun way to explore the city.
