“Both travelers and locals will love this museum!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

My husband and I visited the Mill City Museum for the first time when it had just opened and thought the tour and exhibits were all really well done and educational. You really got an idea of the early years of Minneapolis and the development of the city!
When the in-laws arrived for a visit from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada...we brought them to the museum too. They were delighted with it and we had a bite to eat at the cafe in the lobby and generally spent a wonderful afternoon!
Have since brought nieces and nephews and always enjoy it...Thank you Mill City Museum!

“Interesting Afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

This is an interesting, if specialized museum. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon here. Nice exhibits on the history of flour milling. Also have some live demos, and looked like cooking demos, but we didn't have time for that. Very knowledgeable staff.

“A piece of MN History!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

I love the Mill City Museum. You learn the history of the city of Minneapolis and flour milling. The flour tower is awesome, what a great way to learn about the old Washburn A Mill building that the museum is housed in. The view from the observation tower of the Stone Arch Bridge over the Mississippi and St. Anthony Falls is the best! One of my favorite things at the Mill City Museum has got to be Kevin Klings movie, "Minneapolis in 19 minutes flat," it is so well done! This is a great place to spend an afternoon!

“Don't Miss this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Some people call this the flour museum but it's much more interesting that that. This flour mill was the reason people settled in Minneapolis. There is movie you have to see there as part of the tour that explains how it all started. We spent three hours there looking at all the old machinery and exhibits about flour and how it's made. A hidden jewel of a place that many of the locals don't even know about.

“Cousins visit from Denmark”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

They really liked the exhibits and the video done by Kevin Kling.
They said they learned more about the state and the agricultural impact of flour and milling.
