“A nice bit of electricity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

My kids are only 2 and 5 but they loved the Bakken. The electric party games upstairs are great! The main floor has interactive exhibits that kept their attention and they enjoyed the outdoor garden as well to play around in. I figured that if they didn't like it their ages are free admission and we could go to a nearby playground, but I had to drag them out of the museum!

“wonderful new museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place was great. I spent at least an hour doing all the hands on exhibits. Lots of old medical devices. Cool stuff on electricity and Frankenstein. Really beautiful old building on a lake. There was a group of school kids there that seemed to be having fun. Good time for kids and adults. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

“Very interesting learning about how electricity is in every facet of our life.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

This museum is located in a historical home a block off lovely Lake Calhoun. The children lived it because there are interactive areas for them. The grounds are beautifully maintained; the main part of the house has such amazing woodwork! Reading (and seeing) all the beginnings of electricity; the first MRI, etc. We ranged in ages 3-60. All found interesting things at the museum.

“Great little museum tucked into the Calhoun neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

A great space with hands on demonstrations of electricity and the history of electricity.
Young kids are a little freaked out by the Frankenstein exhibit and we had some nightmares that night. They're over it now at least that's what the therapists tells us.
