“Best Shower Experince of a Lifetime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2010

My first trip ever to Minneapolis. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. However, the highlight of the room was the shower. It had at least 6 different heads and the water pressure was incredible. There was a small TV in the bathroom so I was able to watch Sportcenter AND shower at the same time.

I had to leave the hotel at 5am, the staff could not have been nicer. Got me a cab right away and did so without being asked.

I first stayed here in 2001 when it opened, strayed away by newcomers Chambers, IVY and W Forshay, but due those hotels price hikes, I am back to the Graves, and its as nice and hip as it was in 2001. The rooms are simple, plush and spacious, lots of natural light, and a tons of great features, like the 42" Flat Panels, shower with more nossles than a car wash, and a great bathroom. Cosmo is a very trendy low key place to have a cocktail, and the decor all over the hotel is top notch cool.

Nice to be back actually, why did I ever leave?

We traveled to Minnea for a family wedding and its location was perfect for our needs, right downtown. It was a short, fun walk to shops, bars and restaurants. The room was surprisingly spacious, with great updates and amenities. The only downside to this hotel was the training of the staff-- trying to inquire about our reservation prior to arrival was frustrating, to say the least.

My husband and I spent two nights away from reality at this hotel and loved every minute. I would highly recommend doing the valet parking for $28 a night with in and out privlages. We first parked on our own in the ramp. It was kind of confusing finding the door to the hotel itself from the elevator we took inside the ramp. And you also can't come and go without paying everytime. Check in was fast with friendly service. We had a corner executive king on the 20th floor with awesome views. I personally thought there was plenty of storage for our clothes for the few nights we were there. A week long vacation and it would be a little tight. There are no tubs only showers, but the showers are pretty cool. The beds and pillows are very very comfortable. We had a drink that night at Cosmos whick was good. Bradstreet Crafthouse is also in the hotel and I would highly recommend this place. Make reservations for the parlor room. Very dark, intimate, and sexy. They have great drinks and very friendly service. The hotel is in the perfect location. Movie theater, Cold Stone Creamery, Game Works, Applebees, and Hard Rock are a few things that are located in the same building. Also within wallking distance to shopping and many great restaurats. Will definatly be back sometime and hopefully soon.

The Graves is an 'almost excellent' hotel. The rooms are good sized, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is well designed. The location near the light rail and numerous restaurants is also very good. The only drawback is very expensive internet access--the cheapest was $12.95 just too much to be reasonable.

Wife & I stayed one night for a romantic get away. The on site staff were very helpful, which was not as much the case with the folks I spoke to on the phone and via- e-mail to make the reservation. We ordered dinner and breakfast from room service. Food was outstanding and the attention to detail was impressive. Breakfast room service arrived 12 minutes after we placed the order even though we were told to expect a 30 minute wait. Continental breakfast included seven (7) different kinds of fruit artfully sliced, four different little pastries, three little jars of jam, very good coffee, tasty o.j., and ice water. Wow. Dinner the night before was not quite that fast (35 minutes) but very very tasty. The chocolate chip cookies and milk for desert is highly recommended.

The place is expensive but had enough "wow" factor to make it feel worth it.

Great hotel - I have stayed at some great luxury hotels and this is top-notch! The service is superb, everyone is polite and extremely helpful. Room service is the quickest I have encountered at any hotel. The decor pulls off modern and luxurious at the same time. Very clean. I did not eat at either of the restaurants but they were trendy and fun looking when I peaked in at them. Front desk, valet and doormen were without flaws and quite professional while being courteous. Very comfortable bed and quiet room. Although we were not looking for a downtown location, this is very nicely located directly across from the Target center and shopping is very close. Highly recommended.
