Took an out of town visitor here in January. The Teppanyaki has billboards around that say it's the largest Chinese Buffet in Minnesota. First look when you walk in the door is very impressive. Large place with many different food tables, a sushi area, and a Mongolian grill. At least two food tables had American style food, the rest were Asian. Unfortunately the taste just doesn't match the appearance. Tried many different dishes both American and Asian, all range from blah to barely edible. Sushi was disappointingly blah as well. The Mongolian Grill had much more limited sauce selections that other places I've been to and the end result was again, blah. Desert was the standard Chinese Buffet options plus about 8 flavors of ice cream that you could scoop yourself. Great idea, but I had no desire to serve myself with a scoop that was just sitting on the counter out of a bucket that every kid in the restaurant had reached into.
Not sure what the problem is at Teppanyaki, but they have somehow managed to remove the flavor from their food. Highly unlikely that we will go back.
