We started staying here after Twins games (Target Field is just steps away) but we keep coming back because we like the neighborhood. Moose and Sadie's is a fantastic brunch stop nearby and there are quite a few other restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance. Walking or driving downtown is totally doable and there's a bike rental rack about a block away if you feel like seeing the sights in a different way. The North Loop neighborhood is quiet and residential and great for biking or strolling. And the Mississippi is close by and has beautiful views.

The hotel itself is always spotless. It has an outdoor pool - which is great for summer - and there are always couples and families grilling in the pool area. The pool table in the lobby gets a lot of use as well. The front desk always has fresh coffee and the giant map is handy if you don't know your way around the area. They list upcoming events in the neighborhood as well. The breakfast is basic, but plentiful.

The rooms are big, with kitchenettes and a full size fridge - which is handy when you have a bunch of friends getting together to have a few beers before heading out for the evening.

I travel a lot, and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Great location. Easy parking. Comfortable beds (we had a suite, which really was a separate room with a couch and a TV, but, the couch pulled out for a bed for our College daughter to sleep in) . Clean. But, my favorite part of this property was the front desk. The person on was friendly and professional. He went over and above what was required of him to service this customer. And, he had a full property that weekend, so he was working hard to keep more than this customer happy. Free Breakfast had few options, but, it had everything I wanted to eat. Coffee was in the lobby and available anytime I walked past it. A couple of blocks west and you're downtown, many restaurants around, and walk the other way a couple of blocks and you're on a river walk on the Mississippi.

We were lucky enough to stay here for 3 days. The location was great, the facilities were great (although only made it to the pool for half and hour!). The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed. The room was clean. The only downside was having the air conditioner next to the bed, so it kept me awake as it was blowing on me, and it was too hot with it off. We really enjoyed our stay there. Atlhough I left an item there (a vintage tea pot from our wedding) and no-one can seem to find it.....

The best thing about the Towne Place Suites is the location. It is in walking distance of Target Field, and there are a number of good restaurants nearby.

Our room was clean and bright and the service was good. There was not much street noise, but there was a fair amount of noise from the hall, including during the early morning hours. We found the breakfast rather skimpy, especially in light of what we were paying for the room.

We had a little dust up with the management over the charge for our dog--they wanted to triple the online quotation we had received. In the end, however, the manager dropped the charge entirely and even gave us a goody bag for the dog. To our minds, this went above and beyond the call of duty.
